About and sources
Home Size Guide answers one question: what size rug, curtains or tablecloth should I buy? Each page names the standard size that fits, draws it to scale on a one-foot grid, and shows the rule it comes from.
Where the sizes come from
Every size and rule on the site comes from a published retailer or maker guide, and each page links to the guides it uses with the date we checked them. Where guides disagree, for example on how full curtains should be, the page shows both. We don’t write sizing rules of our own.

How the drawings work
The drawings are computed from those rules: for a bed, the rug’s long side runs across the bed, it reaches past the sides and foot as the guide says, and it sits under at least the bottom two-thirds of the bed. Sizes are nominal; a product may measure an inch or two different, so check its listing.
Shopping links
Some pages link to Amazon searches for the recommended size. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases; see the affiliate disclosure. Links never change which size a page recommends.
